A 19-year-old woman was killed in a dramatic crash in San Fernando Friday afternoon when the silver car she was travelling in became wrapped around a pole, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The driver of that silver car, a 23-year-old man, was transported to a hospital and is listed in critical condition, fire officials said. Both he and the woman had to be extricated from the car.
A second vehicle was involved in the crash. The 45-year-old man driving that car suffered minor injuries and was not transported to a hospital, officials said. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The collision occured at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Filmore Street (map).
