School Administrators Respond to Allegations Teachers Called Gay Student a Sinner

Students and staff members reported the incident to both Paloma Valley administrators and the ACLU.

Riverside County school administrators say they have "dealt with" a high school teacher who allegedly singled out a student for supporting gay rights, it was reported.

According to CBS2:

The complaint, dated Oct. 14, alleges a Paloma Valley High School teacher drew an “S” on the hand of a student wearing a “Gay is Good” T-shirt and reportedly referred several times to the student as a sinner.

Students and staff members reported the incident to both Paloma Valley administrators and the ACLU.

The complaint was investigated and "based on our findings, we have dealt with the employee,” Leslie Ventuleth, the district’s chief human resources officer, told CBS2.

Neither the student's or teacher's identity was made public.
