3-Day Search for Missing Glendale Woman Ends

"At this time detectives will be re-focusing on family and friends," police Sgt. Robert William said.

The three-day search for a missing 20-year-old Glendale woman ended Saturday with no sign of her.

The search began about 7 a.m. and concluded at noon, according to Glendale police Sgt. Robert William.

"At this time detectives will be re-focusing on family and friends," said William, adding that there will not be another search effort Sunday.

Elaine Park was reported missing on Monday after she failed to return home following a date last Saturday night with her boyfriend, he said. On Thursday, Park's car was found along Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu with her keys, cellphone and other personal belongings inside.

"A search and rescue team and detectives have been searching for her, utilizing four blood hounds,'' William said. He said the search took place today "along the Pacific Coast Highway, near Corral Canyon and near the Malibu Motorhome park.''

Park's status has been changed from voluntarily to "critical missing,'' William said. "We are very concerned for her well being."

Investigators questioned Park's boyfriend, who has been "completely cooperative,'' William said.

Park is Korean-American, 5-feet-6, about 125 pounds, with brown eyes, long brown hair with blonde tips, and often wears heavy makeup, according to the Glendale Police Department. She has a cow skull tattoo on her upper left arm and another tattoo on her lower left arm, William said.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts was urged to call Glendale police at 818-548-4911. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling 800-222-TIPS.
