Police Search for Shooter Who Killed 2 People at Winnetka Home

A man and a woman, both in their 20s, were found shot dead at a Winnetka home.

Two people were fatally shot in Winnetka on Monday, and police are searching for the shooter.

A man and a woman, both in their 20s, were found shot dead around 11 a.m. at a home in the 7800 block of Oso Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Topanga Division.

Neighbors called 9-1-1 after hearing multiple gunshots, police said. Witnesses described a man running from the house after the shooting.

He is described as Hispanic, thin, and of medium height. He was wearing a white hoodie, green shirt and shorts.

The woman found dead lived at the home and the man was a "recent acquaintance," Capt. Paul Vernon said.

Police believe the shooter knew one or both of the victims, he added.

The victims' identities have not yet been released.
