Police Call Sexual Assault Report at Beverly Hills Hotel Baseless

A guest reported the sexual assault early Wednesday at the Montage hotel, but officers later said the report is baseless

Police responded early Wednesday to a report of a sexual assault at Montage Beverly Hills, but investigators later told the Associated Press the report was baseless.

Officers were seen hauling boxes of items out of the luxury hotel on North Canon Drive as the investigation continued Wednesday morning. A sexual assault was reported at about 1:30 a.m.

A female guest reported that she was sexually assaulted in the hotel, according to police. After interviewing the woman, police said no crime occurred.

There were no signs of a break-in, Sgt. Max Subin said.
