110 Freeway Lanes Closed for Shooting Investigation

Officers found a man's body in the dirt near a homeless camp east of the freeway

Two lanes of the northbound 110 Freeway were shut down at Via Marisol in Highland Park on Tuesday while police investigated the circumstances surrounding a man's death.

Los Angeles police said that four or five shots had been heard about 5 p.m.

An official with the LAPD said the man appeared to have been visiting the camp.

As of 11 p.m., the investigation was still affecting traffic in the nortbound lanes.
