Shoppers From All Over the World Splash Cash in SoCal on Black Friday Sales

Bargain hunters descended on their favourite outlets all over Southern California as the sales began in earnest on Thursday.

Shoppers from all over the world were already enjoying the Black Friday extravaganza in Southern California on Thanksgiving.

Bargain hunters descended on their favorite outlets as the sales began in earnest on Thursday.

And it was not just locals who were keen to indulge in some retail therapy, with vacationers visiting the Citadel Outlet Mall in Commerce last night.

"I just want to experience this because I came from Canada, and it's Boxing Day there, but here it's Black Friday, so I wanted to get into it, so this is the first time I've (been able) to line up," Canadian Teresita Nicodemus, who waited for hours before opening time, said.

And Talib Almarri, who was visiting from Qatar, was stocking up on warm weather clothing for the winter.

"(I got) Actually glasses, some jackets for winter, sweaters... yeah, because it's cold," Almarri said.

The Black Friday sales have largely been peaceful so far, though there was an incident inside a Kohl's, in the 18100 block of Irvine Boulevard in Tustin.

Two women attacked 2 other women, in the baby department section, and 1 of the women attacked was transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons, condition unknown.

Tustin Police Department is handling the investigation, and 2 arrests were made. It's not clear the brawl was Black Friday-related, though.

And a deputy reported a minor verbal fight at a Walmart in Norwalk, where there was also some shoving. Officers responded but no arrests were made, and it was unclear what the argument was about.
