14 Hurt in 10-Car Freeway Pileup

All lanes of the Harbor (110) Freeway north of San Pedro were reopened after a 10-vehicle pileup early Sunday morning hurt 14 people, two critically, and shut the highway down.

One car flipped over and a taco truck was seriously damaged on the Harbor (110) Freeway in Carsonat 3:40 a.m.

The crash was on the northbound 110 Freeway at 223rd Street, approaching the San Diego (405) Freeway.

County firefighters and paramedics handled 14 patients at the scene -- where two were in critical condition, four had minor injuries, and the remaining were treated at the scene and released, according to a county fire department dispatcher.

One of the critically injured -- a woman -- was transported to Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, according to the CHP.

All lanes of traffic were closed on the northbound freeway at 3:46 a.m., with the number four lane eventually opening at 8:54 a.m., according to the CHP.
