LA County Sheriff Investigators are trying to find the gunman who opened fire on a family in Lennox.

It happened in the 5000 block of West 112th Street just after midnight.  When paramedics arrived, they found six family members shot.  All of them were taken to an area hospital and treated.  They are now in stable condition with injuries that do not appear to be life threatening.

Investigators say they don't know what lead up to the shootings.  A family member says he was surprised by the shots.

"I had just gotten inside and put my daughter to sleep," he said, "then I heard the shots.  I thought it was just fireworks."

Neighbors alerted deputies to the commotion and called 911.

Sheriff's investigators won't say much about the case, only to say they're looking for the shooter, believed be to driving a dark-colored vehicle.
