Sherman Oaks Gas Pump Reminds Customers to "Smile"

It’s good to stop and smell the roses sometimes. Even when the “roses” are presented to you at a gas pump. Or perhaps *especially* when the roses are presented to you at a gas pump.

It’s nice to find something to smile about while you’re dumping all that cash into your tank.

Such is the experience one LA Metblogs blogger had at a 76 station at Woodman and Riverside.

Turns out the pump has been dispensing words of wisdom for a decade – gems like, “Hey, look up here. That’s right, here. The least you could do is smile. Life is too short not to enjoy it.”

True, so true. And it sure beats getting angry about $3.25 a gallon.

LA Metblogs reports “It’s not the cheapest gas in town, but it’s clearly the most articulate.”
