A high school in South Los Angeles was locked down Friday afternoon following a pursuit that ended in the area, LAUSD officials said.
According to the Los Angeles Unified School District, the pursuit of a robbery suspect ended near Dr. Maya Angelou Community High School in the 300 block of 53rd Street.
School officials closed the school as a precaution. As of 2 p.m., the school had resumed normal operation.
