What to Know

  • Sunday, March 17
  • Several eats will be available on St. Patrick's Day, though some may be available now; check with the eatery
  • Sprinkles Cupcakes and 25 Degrees in Hollywood both have holiday-fun goodies

Luck may dance blithely through the middle of March, and a spirited sense of shamrock-sweet celebration, and more than a few festivities boasting tin whistles, fiddles, and Uileann pipes.

But our holiday-style hankerings are also of paramount importance come St. Patrick's Day.

And while the Guinness, the Jameson, and other libations will be on the pour, and you can count on finding classic corned beef meals across Southern California on March 17, there are some spins on seasonal suppings to keep in mind.

25 Degrees, at the Hollywood Roosevelt, is all about a burger with some distinctive toppings: corned beef, Dijon aioli, braised cabbage, and a fried egg. Fries and a Breckenridge Nitro Irish Stout are also part of the $28 meal (name: The Mad Irishman).

Sprinkles Cupcakes, where a pretty green treat is the thing to nosh upon. It's a Shamrock cupcake, it is a chocolate cake "studded" with mint candy, and the frosting is green mint. Get yours through March 17.
