MONTEBELLO, Calif -- Someone took a Montebello police car for a joyride early Sunday.

The cruiser was taken shortly after 3 a.m. from an undisclosed location, and someone reported seeing it on Francisquito Avenue with its emergency lights and siren on, RMG News reported.

The vehicle was recovered near 1253 N. Ballista Ave. in West Covina about 4:10 a.m., Montebello police Sgt. Rick Rosas said.

RMG News reported that two guns were taken, but Rosas declined to confirm that.
