Party With the British Consul-General
The Hancock Park home of British Consul-General Dame Barbara Hay was lit up with the Union Jack Friday night. More than 200 people, including former Olympians, gathered at the home to celebrate the start of the London Olympics. Janet Kwak reports from Hancock Park for the NBC4 News at 12 a.m. on July 28, 2012.
Our trio of adventuresome travelers witnessed all the momentous action leading up to the Olympic opening ceremony. Surprisingly, a few furry friends were along for the noteworthy celebration.
As he rubbed shoulders with fellow Angelenos clothed in American spirit during the London ceremony, folks back home caught a glimpse of the local athletes gearing up for their team USA debut on the Twitterverse.
