One person was hospitalized and 16 others received medical attention after two school buses carrying dozens of students crashed in Rolling Hills Estates, firefighters said.
The collision was reported about 2:30 p.m. Friday at Hawthorne Boulevard and Silver Spur Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. About 70 students were aboard the buses.
Eleven children and five adults were treated at the scene. One adult complaining of pain was taken to the hospital.
Aerial images showed one bus crashed into the rear of another bus.
