Suspect Arrested in Connection With Open House Burglaries

The man is believed to have have burglarized at least eight properties from West LA to Orange County.

A man has been arrested for allegedly burglarizing at least eight properties from West Los Angeles to Orange County, police said.

The alleged burglar targeted homes for sale and would visit them during open houses. All burglaries occurred during or shortly after the open houses, police said.

Detectives had previously released surveillance footage of the alleged thief in action. The man had been described as Asian, 5 foot 10 inches, weighing about 170 pounds, with short hair and wearing glasses.

The man is suspected of burglarizing at least three homes for sale on the Westside of Los Angeles between September and October. In each crime, the man took jewelry and high-end watches. 

Detectives believe the man had knowledge of or was associated with the real estate profession.
