Police arrested a woman who led officers on a pursuit and crashed into the wall of downtown Los Angeles building early Tuesday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The pursuit began around 12:30 a.m. on the northbound 110 Freeway after police discovered a stolen vehicle. When the suspect exited onto Olive Street near downtown Los Angeles, the pursuit began, according to LAPD Lt. Shawn Gregory.
The driver ran multiple red lights and struck a lightpole before crashing into a building in the 500 block of 5th Street. Officers were able to pull the woman from the vehicle before it caught fire, Gregory said.
The woman was transported to a hospital for evaluation.
No officers were injured during the pursuit.
