A suspected burglar was injured Friday night after he was accidentally struck by an Uber driver in Hollywood, police said.
The incident was reported around 10:40 p.m. near the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Ocford Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The man was struck after he saw police and began to run into oncoming traffic, according to the LAPD.
The man sustained injuries to his legs and was transported to a hospital where he was expected to survive, according to the LAPD.
Police found about $900 in property taken during a home robbery in Azusa, according to the LAPD.
Police said the suspected burglar would be taken into custody after he is discharged from the hospital.
