Suspected DUI Driver Crashes into Church Bus

The driver of the BMW is suspected of driving drunk and causing a crash that injured 12 others who were riding in a church bus early Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at Western Avenue and Sixth Street in Los Angeles, Calif.

A dozen people were injured early Saturday when the van they were riding in was hit by a man suspected of driving drunk, officials said.

No one suffered major injuries in the 4 a.m. crash at Sixth Street and Western Avenue, police said.

The impact left both vehicles with major damage.

Firefighters say one person was seriously injured, but the others suffered minor injuries.

The suspect, whose identity was not immediately released, was arrested on a felony DUI charge, police said.
