Police Raid “Girls Gone Wild” Shoot

An apparent photo shoot for ``Girls Gone Wild'' in the Hollywood Hills was broken up by police Wednesday afternoon after neighbors complained.

Officers from the Hollywood Division were called to a home in the 7900 block of Vulcan Drive about 3:30 p.m. where neighbors called with complaints of a public nuisance, said Officer Bruce Borihanh.

It is not believed that Girls Gone Wild video series founder Joe Francis was at the home, LA weekly reported.

Borihanh said ``an unidentified man was cited and released on a misdemeanor charge of commercial filming without a permit.'”

Filming on sound stages does not require city permits, Borihanh said, but commercial filming at a private home is another matter because of complaints about parking and other related matters.

The home apparently was rented to a man who sublet it for film shoots, he said.

It had been the subject of neighbor complaints for some time, according to Borihanh.
