A mall in Redondo Beach was evacuated while a bomb squad blew up a suitcase after someone reported a suspicious package.
The item was rendered safe and shoppers were allowed back into the South Bay Galleria in Redondo Beach at 11:15 a.m.
The mall and surrounding areas were evacuated as a precaution.
