No Bomb Threat in Exposition Park Area

Authorities gathered near Exposition Park on Thursday, April 17, 2014, after reports of a suspicious package in front of a post office.

Authorities said a suspicious package in front of a post office in the Exposition Park area Thursday contained combustible Easter egg paraphernalia, but no bomb.

A suspicious package was reported to police Thursday morning in the 3500 block of South Vermont Avenue.

The LAPD bomb squad was called to the scene.

Aerial footage showed several people outside on the sidewalks near the area.
