The LAPD Bomb Squad has been called to investigate a suspicious package near Sunset and Pacific Coast Highway on Friday just after noon, authorities said.
The Los Angeles Police Department is asking people to avoid the area due to the package, which was reported at 12:20 p.m.
The LA Fire Department is on the scene with the LAPD.
The north- and southbound lanes of PCH were opened as of 1:55 p.m., according to a tweet from the LAPD, but a spokesman said the investigation was continuing. Refresh this page for updates on this developing story.
