Customers at a Target in South Gate were rushed out of the store following a police chase that ended there Thursday night.
Police were chasing two suspects, possibly a man and a woman, in a stolen older model Honda. The pursuit began in downtown Long Beach and the suspects lead police on a pursuit along the 710 Freeway.
The suspects exited the freeway at Firestone Boulevard and crashed into a utility pole. The suspects exited the car and fled on foot into a Target store in the 5700 block of Firestone Boulevard.
Customers inside the Target were forced to evacuate after police chased the suspects inside the store.
Police were unable to locate the suspects.
Police did not provide a description of the suspects or details about the alleged theft of the car.
