Teen Girl Allegedly Kidnapped, Raped on Way to School in Adelanto

Sheriff's deputies were asking for the public's help in finding two men who kidnapped a 15-year-old girl on her way to school in Adelanto and raped her.

The girl was walking from her home to Adelanto High School about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday when two men in a car pulled up next to her near Jonathan Street and Mojave Drive (map). The passenger got out, grabbed the girl and forced her into the back of the car, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said.

The victim told investigators the men drove her to a nearby location and raped her inside the car. She was dropped off and went to school. She reported the assault the next day.

Investigators said it was unclear why the girl did not report the alleged assault until Thursday.

Parents of students at Adelanto High School said they received a message from the principal about the alleged assault and were taking precautions.

One of the attackers was described as 6 feet 3 inches tall with a heavy build. He had short black hair, facial hair, a large nose and a deep voice. The man also had a tattoo of a tiger head and paw on his left chest.

The other attacker was described as having a medium height and build. He had short hair on the sides with longer dreadlocks or possibly curls on top.

The men were in an older model four-door Toyota. It was teal with a tan interior, and the windows were not tinted.

Investigators said they were hoping to create composite sketches of the alleged attackers.

Anyone with information was urged to contact Sgt. Dan Babel at 760-552-6800.
