Teen Struck and Killed in Rosemead Hit-and-Run

Sheriff's deputies are searching for a hit-and-run driver who left a young girl dead in Rosemead Monday night.
"The 19-year-old woman was struck at about 10:30 p.m. Monday as she walked on Walnut Grove Avenue, north of Marshall Street," said Lt. Julio Salcido of the sheriff's Temple station.
"The victim was struck in front of at least two witnesses while walking in the middle of the street," said Traffic Investigator Marvin Payne, of the Temple station.
The woman died at the scene. Sheriff's investigators say the suspect's vehicle was described as a white or gray newer model van or SUV.
