Police were looking for a man accused of stabbing a woman and her granddaughter on Thanksgiving night in Silver Lake, authorities said Friday.

The man, described as 55 to 60 years old, allegedly stabbed the grandmother with a knife during an argument in an apartment unit in the 800 block of Lucile Ave. The granddaughter, about 12 years old, tried to intervene, but she was slashed on the arm, an LAPD watch commander told NBC4.

The grandmother received at least two wounds and was hospitalized in stable condition.
