Police responded to a call at approximately 11:15 p.m. in the 1900 block of Stearns Drive late Monday after robbers took approximately $1,000 in cash and other property from the victim’s home, according to the Los Angeles Police Department Wilshire Division.

The property’s resident lives alone and heard people enter her home, prompting her to take shelter in a closet. Authorities said the thieves entered through an unlocked door; there were no signs of a forced entry.

A description of the robbers was not available because the home was dark at the time of the robbery.
