Thieves Swipe $10,000 Painting From San Pedro Art Gallery

Police are asking for help in tracking down a $10,000 painting stolen from a San Pedro art gallery last month.

On July 7, five four young men and a woman walked into the gallery at Sixth Street and Pacific Avenue, lifted the 3- by 6-foot mixed media artwork off the wall and walked out with it, the Los Angele Police Department’s Art Theft Detail said.

The people in the group were described about 18 to 24 years old. Two of the men were carrying skateboards.
