Three Hurt in West LA Bank Robbery

Police are looking for three men who robbed a bank in a violent takeover in West Los Angeles Thursday afternoon.

Three people were hurt during the robbery of the OneWest Bank branch in the 11300 block of National Boulevard, according to Lt. Robert Long of LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division, including a security guard.

One person is believed to have been pistol-whipped and a stun gun was used on two others. All three were transported to local hospitals.

"Definitely a very forceful, violent robbery," Long said.

It was not immediately clear if the other two people hurt were bank customers or employees.

According to Long, three men entered the bank at 1:50 p.m., armed with the stun guns and at least one handgun.

After the robbery, the men are believed to have fled in a green Toyota Camry with a female driver, according to LAPD's Media Relations.

The car was last seen heading west on Clover Avenue. It is not yet known how much money the men escaped with.

According to Lt. Long, this branch has been robbed at least once before.
