Three Masked Men Tie Up Resident During Home Invasion

The victim was able to free himself and contact someone for help.

Three masked men entered a home in Los Angeles County before tying up the sole occupant and leaving with an unknown amount of property, authorities said.

The home invasion happened just before 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of Flintridge Avenue in La Canada Flintridge.

"They held her at gunpoint and they ransacked the house," said Lt. Bill Jaeger of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

He said the victim was home fore about an hour last night while her parents were out of the home.

The assailants fled the residence without harming the victim, and took with them some high-end purses, Jaeger said. He said they also took weapons from the home, but did not give specifics.

The victim was able to free herself and contact someone for help, she added. When her parents returned home, they found her tied up.

Jaeger said they are investigating the possibility that the attacked was targeted.

"We have certain details that have been revealed to us that suggest this was not a random act," he said.
