A fire damaged a house in Carson on Thursday morning and left three people injured, authorities said.
Firefighters sent to the 1200 block of Elsmere Drive at 5:36 a.m. extinguished the flames in about 40 minutes, the Los Angeles County fire department reported.
Several deputies and a firefighter were being treated at the scene for heat exhaustion, fire officials said.
Paramedics took the three people to a hospital in unknown condition. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
