A swim coach was arrested this week after he allegedly admitted to having sex with a minor, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Todd Sousa, 36, was arrested at JSerra High School on Thursday, the Orange County Register reported:

The victim, identified as a girl under 16 years old, had talked to a friend about her relationship with Sousa, (Lt. John Meyer) said. The friend eventually told her parents and information was relayed to the victim's parents.

The victim was not one of Sousa's students, the newspaper reported.

Sousa is not an employee of the school, Meyer told San Juan Capistrano Patch.

When confronted by police, Sousa reportedly admitted to the allegations, according to Patch.

Sousa and his wife own Swim Venture, a company that according to its website, "uses a fun and imaginative approach to help students create a life-long love for swimming." The company works at more than 20 pools, the Register reported.
