Authorities searched Friday for the person who shot and killed a man in a car-to-car shooting on the Artesia 91 Freeway in Cerritos.
The shooting was reported at 4:30 p.m. Friday on the westbound side of the freeway in the area of Artesia Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim, a 27-year-old man, was taken to a hospital and was subsequently pronounced dead, according to the CHP.
Investigators said a witness called 911 to report that she saw and heard gunfire coming from a green Acura shooting at a white Nissan Sentra.
All westbound lanes were closed as the CHP investigated the shooting.
