Truck Driver Flees Scene of Crash, Suffers “Memory Loss” Due to Low Blood Sugar

A truck driver who fled after crashing into a house in Bellflower Monday allegedly could not remember the incident after suffering memory loss.

He told officers he had low blood sugar and could not recall the smash, which happened at around 11:30 p.m. at East Rosecrans Avenue, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

The man was hospitalized after suffering minor injuries in the incident, in which his truck hit a parked vehicle before driving across the street and crashing into a house.

He has not been arrested, it is not being treated as a hit-and-run and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
