Lockdown Lifted at Two Carson Schools

Two Carson schools were placed on lockdown Wednesday morning due to police activity in the area.

Two Carson schools were placed on lockdown Wednesday morning while police searched for a robbery suspect in the area.

Instruction continued and students remained on campus at Annalee Avenue Elementary School and nearby Curtiss Middle School. 

The suspect was taken into custoday and the lockdown was lifted just after 11 a.m., according to Sgt. Richard Torres of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Both schools are within the Los Angeles Unified School District.
