Two Critically Injured in Parachute Accident

Two skydivers were critically injured this afternoon when they collided during a drop over Perris Valley Airport, according to the county fire department.

The mishap was reported around 1:50 p.m. near the airfield at 2091 Goetz Road.

It wasn't immediately clear whether the parachutists became entangled or struck each other and descended separately.

The skydivers were hospitalized in critical condition, a Riverside County Fire Department official said.

Both were from the Perris Valley Sky Diving School.

On March 31, two instructors from the school were killed when they became intertwined and plummeted 400 feet to the ground.
