Two Injured In Plane Crash at Perris Airport

Four people were abourt the plane that landed on it's belly for unknown reasons.

Two people were hospitalized when a twin-engine aircraft went down while departing from Perris Valley Airport about 8:20 a.m. Saturday morning, according to a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman.

"There were four people aboard the Beechcraft Duchess when it landed on its belly under unknown circumstances in a field about a quarter mile southwest of the airport," said the FAA's Ian Gregor.

Two of the people were transported by ambulance to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Melody Hendrickson of the county fire department. The identities of the people aboard the plane were not revealed.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash, Gregor said.

Perris Valley Airport is at 2091 Goetz Road in Perris.
