Two Men Arrested on Suspicion of Taking Large Amounts of Marijuana to Music Festival

Two men from the Bakersfield area were arrested Friday on suspicion of transporting more than 300 envelopes and 100 plastic jars of concentrated marijuana known as “wax” to a music festival in San Bernardino County.

Deputies stopped a vehicle around 7 p.m. in Castaic, and during the investigation found a “significant amount of hash, hash oil and related narcotic paraphernalia” inside, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

It was unclear what event the men were allegedly traveling to when they were stopped.

Officials said wax is the strongest form of marijuana on the market and is “extremely dangerous for people trying to make it at home.”

The identities of the two men who were arrested were not released.
