Two people were in critical condition after a violent crash on the 5 Freeway in Arleta Friday morning.
Both victims had to be rescued from the smashed vehicle. They were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The call came out just after 6 a.m. near the 5 Freeway at Terra Bella Street, according to an alert from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It appeared that only one vehicle was involved in the wreck.
A SigAlert was issued for the crash area. The exit ramp from the 5 Freeway was closed at Terra Bella Street.
