Two people were shot after someone in a vehicle opened fire Wednesday in South Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Around 4:30 a.m., police were driving near the intersection of 51st Street and Hoover Street when they saw a vehicle shooting. Authorities attempted to halt the driver with a traffic stop, but the vehicle failed to yield, prompting a pursuit.
The pursuit ended when the car crashed near the intersection of 67th Street and Broadway. All five occupants have been taken into custody.
Two firearms were recovered in the car, according to authorities.
Details on the conditions of the shooting victims were not immediately available.
Police are investigating the shooting.
