Two San Bernardino County MMA Fighters Arrested in Same Week

Chris Culley and Lavell Lacy are being held at the same San Bernardino County detention center.

Two Southern California MMA fighters were arrested in San Bernardino County this week in separate cases.

Christopher Scott Culley, 29, of Victorville, faces misdemeanor violence charges in connection with allegedly punching his girlfriend in the face after an argument Monday night, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Culley is a featherweight-class fighter nicknamed "The Urban Legend," according to sherdog.com, a mixed martial arts website.

He faces charges of domestic violence, driving with a suspended license, and driving without insurance, according to inmate records.

He is being held on $25,000 bail at the Adelanto Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court next on July 23.

A second MMA fighter, Lavell Lacy, 32, an amateur light heavyweight-class fighter from Hesperia, was being held at the same detention center after he was arrested July 3 for alleged grand theft auto.

He also faces enhanced terms due to a prior conviction. He was being held on $150,000 bail, inmate records showed.
