Two Sought After Possible Pot Shop Shooting

Police are looking for two people who were involved in a possible robbery at a marijuana dispensary in Santa Ana Monday afternoon.

A shooting was reported in the parking lot in front of the South Coast Safe Access dispensary in the 1900 block of East Warner Avenue, according to Cpl. Anthony Bertagna, spokesman for the Santa Ana Police Department.

Several shots were fired and a man was hit once. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

According to Randall Longwith, who represents the collective, the man was a member of the collective, so he works at the shop.

The marijuana dispensary is one of three licensed in Santa Ana. According to Longwith, stores like the collective are not allowed to have armed guards because of new regulations.
