Two teenagers were arrested in connection with the 2010 slaying of a man in a downtown Santa Ana parking garage, police said.

The drama happened at 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 2, 2010 at 201 W. Third Street, when a robber shot and killed Irvine resident Jeffrey Lee Chung, 23, of Irvine.

Chung had been at a bar when he was confronted by two males, one armed with a pistol.

The gunman shot Chung in the chest after he refused to give them money, police said.

Chung died later at a hospital.

Police got a tip from a resident who told them that it was rumored two male juvenile gang members were responsible for several street robberies and the killing.

With the help of witnesses, detectives identified the suspects, who were 14 and 15 at the time of the killing - and arrested them on Thursday.

They were booked on murder and attempted robbery charges into juvenile hall.
