Two Teenagers Suspected in Violent Home Invasion Robbery

Police are still investigating the residential break-in that involved assault and battery

An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl face charges in a violent home-invasion robbery in Fullerton in which they allegedly assaulted, tied up and carried the homeowner into a closet.

The teens were arrested after the Wednesday morning attack in the 1600 block of Island Drive, police said in a news release.

The homeowner, who suffered minor injuries, said the teens had broken into his home. They put him in a closet while they ransacked the home.

The robbers were caught on surveillance cameras as they left the home with undisclosed stolen items.

The victim freed himself and called police.

Both teens face charges including robbery, kidnapping, assault and battery and hate crimes, police said.
