Woman Says Verizon Technician Assaulted Her

A Verizon employee is suspected of sexually assaulting a customer after completing work at her home in Thousand Oaks.

    Verizon service technician Tony Betancourt, 56, of Thousand Oaks has been arrested on suspicion of sexual battery against a customer.

    A Verizon service technician suspected of sexually battering a 76-year-old customer in her Thousand Oaks home has been arrested, according to police.

    Thousand Oaks Police received a call from the woman on Nov. 2 after she said Tony Betancourt, 56, assaulted her after completing work at her home.

    After conducting several interviews, Thousand Oaks police arrested Betancourt Thursday on suspicion of sexual battery, authorities said.
