VINtage: Vin Scully's Memorable Calls

Vin Scully's voice provided the soundtrack to some of summer's greatest hits

Vin Scully will retire after the Los Angeles Dodgers final regular season game, but he leaves behind a treasure trove of memorable calls that take the listener back in time.

In 1953, at age 25, Scully became the youngest person to broadcast a World Series game, a mark that still stands. The Hall of Fame announcer is a witness to baseball history, calling no-hitters, perfect games, bench clearing brawls, World Series walk-offs, Hank Aaron's historic 715th home run and Kirk Gibson's 1988 World Series home run.

His voice provided the soundtrack to some of summer's greatest hits. Below, some of the beloved announcer's most memorable calls collected by Major League Baseball.
