Water Main Break Floods Boyle Heights Streets

According to officials, 1st Street has been damaged and a possible sinkhole may have formed.

Streets in Boyle Heights were flooded Saturday morning after a water main break that sent water gushing at 1000 gallons a minute, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The water main break occurred around 12:45 a.m. at the corner of 1st Street and Evergreen Avenue. Water was still flowing as of 2 a.m.

According to officials, 1st Street has been damaged and a possible sinkhole may have formed.
