Water Main Break Floods Pacoima Neighborhood

LA DWP responded to the site of the break to investigate, shut off water.

A water main break flooded the streets of a Pacoima neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

The main break was reported around 2:30 a.m. in the 11000 block of Borden Avenue.

The LADWP responded to the scene of the water main break to investigate and shut off the valves around the neighborhood.

Water continued to flow for about two hours after the lines were shut off as the water reached about five inches above ground level.

The site of the main break was near schools. Crews were sent to the area to clean up dirt and debris.

About 17 customers were affected by the water main break.
