Wedding Ring Discovered in Backseat of Used Car

The ring, with several diamond chips, is inscribed with the year 1961

A California couple discovered a 50-year-old wedding ring lodged in the seat of a used car. Now, they want to find the rightful owners.

Shannon Callahan discovered the 15-karat gold ring in the back of a 2004 Grand Am as she was hunting for her husband’s cell phone last week. The Sacramento couple had just purchased the vehicle six months ago.

The ring, with several diamond chips, is inscribed with the year 1961.

The couple told The El Paso Times that through the vehicle's ID number, they determined someone last sold the car in El Paso, Texas, in March 2004.

The Callahans still haven't found their cell phone.
